It was all posted on jjhuddle yesterday. I dont know if you can go back and see it, but it had all the ohio boys/girls teams and individuals.
jjhuddle won't let you read posts on his site without registering. You have to pay $12.00 up front to register on his site.
Jimmy, you don't have the Wildcats from St. Ignatius down as a team entry, yet this article has them entered.

The above link is to the entries. FYI, Mags is entered as Cleveland Blue Streaks.
Good luck to all!
Run well and represent O-H-I-O
Cleveland St. Ignatius is running as Coach XC Club from Westlake, Ohio
Fixed, Anyone or any other teams that I missed? I'm sure there are more

Magnificat tops Lee's Summit West (Missouri) to be the MW Regional Champ. Congrats to the ladies at Magnificat, they have had a tremendous season this year. Good Luck in Portland!
Just leaving Terre Haute now. There is a chance that Palatine will be the other qualifier as there may have been a chip mix up and/or malfunction for Lee's Summit's team.
The girls race featured an amazing finish stretch run between Hannah Neczypor and Maddie Chambers with the lead being traded back and forth a few times over the last 200 meters. Ohio girls went 1-2-3

L-R Michelle Thomas, Maddie Chambers, Hannah Neczypor
Also just found out that Michael Bradjic of Bay likely qualified on the guys side.
Great showing by Ohio, Top three girls finishers, top girls team, top boy finisher and another boy qualifier, pretty impressive if I do say.
Here's a pic from another site of the girls finish
It was even closer than the photo would lead you to believe IMO

Christina Blair also qualified from Ohio. She finished 7th but the top 5 from non qualifying teams go.
Actually according to the amended results, Christina did not qualify as she was the 6th individual when 2nd and 3rd place teams swapped places.
Individual Q's are in bold
1. Hannah Neczypor OH 17:34.3
2. Madeline Chambers OH 17:35.5
3. Michelle Thomas OH 17:59.9
4. Michelle Moriset MI 18:10.4
5. Chelsey Phoebus MO 18:17.4
6. Waverly Neer IN 18:17.5
7. Christina Blair OH 18:19.5
8. Lavinia Jurkewicz IL 18:22.6
9. Tapring Goatee IN 18:24.7
10. Sarah McIntosh IL 18:29.7
Dang that stinks for Christina! What happened that the results changed. I know there was some kind of chip mix-up, but I'm not sure I follow what exactly happened?
That has to be crushing, to think that you qualified and then to find a scoring error that doesn't affect the way you ran, changes your qualifying status. I'd like to see Nike do the right thing and still invite her.
There have been some MAJOR issues with timing at these NXN meets. Team changes at the Midwest regionals and in the Nortwest, there was a lengthy delay in the girls scoring.
If you go to the team results that are up now, you see that Lee's Summit (Titans) 2nd and 3rd girls are listed as having the same time. One of those girls actually finished farther back. It was not known when we left if it was an error with the function of the chip or with the chip distribution to the athletes. The upshot of it was that the Titans Coach (Lee's Summit W HS) noticed the discrepancy and pointed it out to meet management who then viewed the video and made the adjustment. Big props to him for having that level of integrity and setting the proper example. I have nothing but the utmost respect for him.
I sincerely hope that Nike finds a way to advance the Titans to the National Meet. I like happy endings.
That does show a lot of character for the coach.
IdentiLynx can be your best friend
Jesse Griffin the coach of Lee's Summit West is a class guy. It's my understanding Nike was packing up their stuff when Jesse came to them with the error. Since I'm the Missouri webmaster I'll admit to being biased but these girls deserve at large bid.
Paul
That's a good question.
I have some pics of the finish line and I don't recall seeing any cameras out. As a Lynx operator emeritus that is one of the first things I look for at a meet. It is possible they could have been obscured by the banners draped around the finish.

Added a link in the article to the MoMileSplit coverage, OHRunner's Missouri counterpart, that has interviews and race footage, http://milespl.it/pd78b4
I did find a camera. See the pic below next to the ladder.

The problem is that nobody was wearing a hip #. It is conceivable that you could at least read the pic for times and then match that up with your chip times.
Just got word, Christina is in and will be going to the meet.
That's awesome Coach! I didn't think they took at large bids for individual, but who cares-she's in and has the chance to have a great time in Portland.
Are you going?
Just got word, Christina is in and will be going to the meet.
That's great to hear!!
Not going but I will try to watch on-line.
Thats Nike stepping up and doing the right thing. Congrats to her on a great season.
Coach,
Our girls are really good at being inclusive to the individuals. She is welcome to hang out with our team if she would like. If she'd like to try to coordinate flights etc. I'm sure that could be worked out as well.
Here's hoping that Lee's Summit West gets to go as well.

If I remember you did that with Hannah last year as well right CoachW?
Edited to make scrolling easier
I thought Christina Blair had qualified, but I don't see her name on the list??
They are announcing the individual At Large selections tomorrow.
Ooops I need to learn to read better, thanks CoachW! :-$
I thought Christina Blair had qualified, but I don't see her name on the list??
Final list has come out and Christina is not listed. Is she going?
Christina is now on the updated list and should be arriving soon into Portland.
geo, Thanks for the update and good luck to her and all the Ohio runners in Portland!!
Just got back from the Nike HQ Campus. What a spread! We did see Christina after seeing her name on the MW regional qualifiers banner-great news there!
I will post pics when I get some time. Check out the streaming video of the meet on Saturday. I will get a bunch of pics from the meet as well.
Good luck to all!

Michael B and Zach W getting ready to represent Ohio

A view of the course from the enclosed grandstands. You can see the entire course from here as it is a multi lapper run entirely on the infield.

Thanks for the pics CoachW!
Question time:
Is it a nice course?
Flat (looks it)?
Multi-lap, how many laps?
How's the weather?
Over and out. 8-)
Very nice course. It's in great shape with some standing water over beyond tshe whoop-de-doo's (man made mulch mogul type hills)on the south end of the race track. Very very flat with the exception of what they call reverse steeples-where there is are railroad tie sized step ups to a very short upward grade. You should see some fairly fast times up front if the rain holds off.
2 1/2 laps around. Team scores will be announced I believe every K.
Catch the web cast on runnerspace.com they promised some tech surprises.
The weather was great today-about 40 low humidity-very little wind and sunny.
A view from outside the track in the Parking lot. Unlike Scioto Downs which is out in the countryside, Portland Meadows is in a city neighborhood. Very interesting

Another view from outside the track. It's just huge!

Good luck to the entire Ohio contingent! Can't wait to watch on Runnerspace!
Live Video of NXN at http://www.runnerspace.com/eprofile.php?do=title&title_id=268&event_id=13 starting at 9:30am PST, so in Ohio it will be on at 12:30pm.
Getting ready to leave for the course.
It's sunny and 30 degrees. Virtually no wind and dry-it's supposed to be high 30's by race time. Great day for racing.
Great energy at the meet hotel. The site seeing is over and it's time to get to the business of racing.
More pics from the meet later this after noon.
Go Mags! Go Ohio!
having major issues right now trying to watch the video
Once again, a promised live streaming of an event has "connectivity" problems. Seems to be a major one, the entire runnerspace.com site (source of feed) is down for the time being.
Finally got on to be able to see the video about 5 minutes into the race
Use this link:

New York state is where it's at, for girls cross country - four in the top-8 today:
1 Manlius XC Club (Fayetteville-Manlius, Syracuse) 74
2 Kinetic XC Club (Saratoga Springs) 147
7 Adirondack XC Club (Queensbury) 284
8 Clifton Park XC Club (Shenendahova) 285
Saratoga, Queensbury, and Clifton Park (along with Burnt Hills) all within a 40-mile or so radius of each other - the "Rift Valley" of girls HS distance running.
But certainly well done Rocky River/Mags of Ohio.
Any thoughts on Wills' race? Did the "conservative" pace hurt him? Was he favored to win? A 15:18 is something to be very proud of, but I would think after cruising through the entire regular season he would be fresh for this race. I guess this kid is so good that the expectations are sometimes too high.
I don't think the pace hurt Wills, he was in it until the last hay bale jumps where he got caught on the first one and didn't have rhythm to get through the next two smoothly, the loss of speed over those jumps is what took him out of finishing in the top 3 and even possibly winning the event as he was just making his move coming up to the jumps.
5th is great place to finish. The top 5 are all juniors and will likely be back next year, it should be even more exciting next year
That and the combination of a blistering kick by the top three who were nearly 3 abreast at the finish. They all started discarding gloves, hats etc and it was ON at that point. The crowd saw and just went beserk-what an amazing atmosphere. If I were going to be a competitor next year, I would have been out there measuring the haybales and the distance between them. Then I'd be practicing that from time to time. There are several "rhythm breakers" on the course and in order to place high, you need to get out quickly because over 1/2 the course does not lend itself to passing because of the narrowness of the course and the sheer numbers of runners.
Nike does the athletes right there.
What were all the freebies that Nike gave out to the athletes?
You had a choice of several items in order to stay within your state federation $$ limits, but some of the items available were:warm ups, singlet, shorts, spikes, flats, t-shirts, back packs. They made spikes and flats just for the event with the NXN logo on them.
The kids also had ample opportunity to interact with several of the Nike Elite athletes such as Bernard Lagat, Alan Webb, Dathan Ritzenheim, Galen Rupp, Anna Willard, Amy Yoder-Begley, Shannon Rowbury, Abdi Abdulramen. Our girls invited Abdi to Cleveland and told him he could come see LeBron James play and he says "LeBron should come watch Abdi run!"-great stuff. Amy was the midwest team captain and dropped by our team meeting on Friday night to offer encouragement.
At the awards ceremony, Paula Radcliffe showed up to help pass out awards- I almost didn't recognize her with her hair down.
